I used to have an x100p clone PCI card and itworked fine however I wanted to upgrade to a card that was A-tick certified forAustralia hence I purchased the A400P with one FXO module. I installed it anddid the standard commands to install it - amportal stop - modprobe dahdi - modprobe wctdm opermode=AUSTRALIA - dahdi_genconf - did some file edits here and there andrebooted
The problem Im seeing is that when I call thePSTN line the extensions start ringing but before I pickup the call gets killedand re-enters the stack because of a fault? It then rings again on theextension etc. I see the following from the asterisk console
== Spawn extension (from-did-direct,2205, 2) exited non-zero on 'DAHDI/1-1' -- Hanging up on 'DAHDI/1-1' -- Hungup 'DAHDI/1-1' [2013-02-09 00:55:09] NOTICE[1984]:sig_analog.c:3769 analog_handle_init_event: Alarm cleared on channel 1
Separately when I dial out via that PSTN I getthe "all lines are congested message".
All,
An update - Its working now. So to set the scene when the fault described below was occurring
- adsl was working
- I could make calls on the pstn line with a std handset (but had a little noise now and then, nothing bad)
- I noticed that ADSL had dropped out a couple of times and could be faster when looking at the line stats
- as per below the card showed no alarms until it had to make or answer a call
The cause was one of the wires in the pstn pair were broken ~70meters away from my house. Telco came out and fixed it.
The A400 did all the right things. The X100 didnt even notice or care.
