Ring/Off-hook in strange state Warning

I got this warning message, randomly, for incoming calls.

[Nov 7 17:41] WARNING[13688]: chan_zap.c:4126 zt_handle_event: Ring/Off-hook in strange state 6 on channel 5


Spec:
A1200P Card
CentOS 5.0, Asterisk 1.4.13, Zaptel 1.4.5.1, MB Intel. P4 3.0 CPU, RAM 1GB.

also

CentOS 4.5, Asterisk 1.4.13, Zaptel 1.4.6, MB Intel. Xeon CPU RAM 1GB.


Is there way to get rid of this error message?

it might be a short offhook bug, we will check and see how to do

I guess, this bug, causes the asterisk to crash randomly.

I have experienced this bug with three asterisk boxes,

- A400P happened rare
- A1200P happens, very frequently. (maybe because it processes more calls)

does this issue only happen under zaptel 1.4.x?

The random crashes were caused by a memory leak and were not related to this bug.
