14 years 1 month ago #4951 by pgeraldes
Hi there , well i´m try to configure elastix to replace my old panasonic telephonic system.
I bought a openvox b100p to try the quality of calls via pstn , so far i cant work with it.
My environmment is a elastix 1.6.12 with isdn nt from portugal, when i conect the card elastix recogniz it but it gives me an error in console mdl_error|req(tei_12).
Can someone give the step by step tutorial, its driving me crazy

hi:
please double the line. have you follow the user manual for that and set PTP/PTMP?

Well, I´ve done everything nothing works.
I instaled elastix 1.6(kernel version - 2.6.18-164.e15 ; asterisk version 1.4.26.1 ; mISDN version 1.1.9.1), than i put the card on the on the server.
Detected the hardware with gui interface, and elastix give me this:
Port 1: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines)
-> Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> Layer 4 protocol 0x04000001 is detected, but not allowed for TE lib.
-> childcnt: 2
* Port NOT useable for PBX (maybe there is already a PBX running?)

Now when i reboot the server elastix gives me the error on the console screen:
mdl_error|req(tei_12)
I dont know what the hell is this.
I keep configure the card doing the:
misdn scan
misdn config
misdn start

When i do the misdn start gives me information:
l
[root@elastix /]# mISDN scan
1 mISDN compatible device(s) found:
>> hfcpci
[root@elastix /]# mISDN config
Writing /etc/mISDN.conf for 1 mISDN compatible device(s):
>> hfcpci
/etc/mISDN.conf already present, saving a backup: /etc/mISDN.conf.bak
[root@elastix /]# mISDN start
-- Loading mISDN modules --
>> /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install capi
>> /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install mISDN_core debug=0
>> /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install mISDN_l1 debug=0
>> /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install mISDN_l2 debug=0
>> /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install l3udss1 debug=0
>> /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install mISDN_capi
>> /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install hfcpci protocol=0x2 layermask=0xf
>> /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install mISDN_dsp debug=0 options=0

Than i go to etc/mISDN.conf

[root@elastix ~]# cd ..
[root@elastix /]# cd etc
[root@elastix etc]# vi mISDN.conf
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

<card type="hfcpci">
<port mode="te" link="ptmp">1</port>
</card>
</mISDNconf>

Changed the link to point to mutipoint, my line is point to multipoint.

and than edit the etc/asterisk/misdn.conf:

; adding the postfix 'ptp' to a port number is obsolete now, chan_misdn
; parses /etc/misdn-init.conf and sets the ptp mode to the corresponding
; configs. For backwards compatibility you can still set ptp here.
;
ports=1

[first_extern]
; again port defs
ports=1
; again a context for incoming calls
context=Extern1
; msns for te ports, listen on those numbers on the above ports, and
; indicate the incoming calls to asterisk
; here you can give a comma separated list or simply an '*' for
; any msn.
msns=*

; here an example with given msns
[second_extern]
ports=1
context=from-pstn
callerid=15
msns=*

and i changed the things that are underline

and than

i make asterisk -r
misdn show stacks
and give me this:

Connected to Asterisk 1.4.26.1 currently running on elastix (pid = 6169)
Verbosity is at least 3
elastix*CLI> misdn show stacks
BEGIN STACK_LIST:
* Port 1 Type TE Prot. PMP L2Link DOWN L1Link:DOWN Blocked:0 Debug:0
elastix*CLI>

Can someone help me here open vox people
Is the card that is malfuncioning or is missing some configuration

Hope someone could help me here
thanks in advanced.

hi:
what is the error:
=========================
Protocol: DSS1 (Euro ISDN)
-> Layer 4 protocol 0x04000001 is detected, but not allowed for TE lib.
-> childcnt: 2
* Port NOT useable for PBX (maybe there is already a PBX running?)
=========================
something is wrong here. by the way, after load the drivers, run : dmesg, do you see any errors?
from asterisk console, the layer1 and layer 2 are down, please double the physical connection.
or if still can not solve, you MUST give ssh to check that.
