Installation instructions for Trixbox and B100

8 years 2 months ago #6760 by zirinisp
I have spend almost my whole day trying to find instructions on how to install your card on trixbox 2.8. All I have found so far is people complaining and reporting problems. From various post I have tried a lot of different solutions (but not a complete one) and either find problems in isdn chan dependencies or misdn on asterisk is not found.

I have to say that I was quite suprised that although instruction are not available you have offered ssh help to a lot of users. Could you please either send me instructions or give me some ssh help?

I have installed a fresh system and i want to get it right this time.

Please follow these steps:
1. Install a fresh system(Trixbox-
2. Switch the default kernel (2.6.18-164.11.1.el5xen)to another (2.6.18-164.11.1.el5) by editing /etc/grub.conf.
3. Create symlinks below,
ln -s /usr/lib/libisdnnet.so /usr/lib/libisdnnet.so.0
ln -s /usr/lib/libmISDN.so /usr/lib/libmISDN.so.0
ln -s /usr/lib/libsuppserv.so /usr/lib/libsuppserv.so.0
4. Comment out all the ports definition in /etc/asterisk/misdn.conf. And customize your own port definition.
for example,

5. Add a customize trunk on you web interface like this:
PBX-->Trunks-->Add Custom Trunk

On this page, at the Custom Dial String text box, fill in this string: mISDN/1/$OUTNUM$
Reload your page.

6. Create an extension, and restart asterisk, you will see :
localhost*CLI> misdn show stacks
* Port 1 Type TE Prot. PTP L2Link UP L1Link:UP Blocked:0 Debug:4

After these 6 steps, everything would be done.

By the way, remember to restart your system when you switch the kernel.
