[B800P] - only 5 ports detected [solved]

15 years 6 months ago #2009 by pastore
Hi guys,

this is my problem: the misdn show stacks command detects only five ports, when my B800P has eight ports.

I already installed this card on various trixbox servers (actually mine is 2.6.1.13), all with the same procedure, adding the hfc_multi.c for mISDN 1_1_8 to the mISDN packet and than installing as usual (with the install-misdn-mqueue.tar.gz script). This is the first time that such a problem occurs.

I already tried to change the card with another one never used, tried to reinstall the all system, tried to change the card position on the motherboard, but the problem persist.

How can I fix it?

Hi James,

####
[trixbox1.localdomain ~]# misdn-init scan
[OK] found the following devices:
card=1,0x8
[ii] run "/usr/sbin/misdn-init config" to store this information to /etc/misdn-init.conf
####

and here the dmesg output (the relevant part ) after having done a misdn-init start:

Exactly what should I check? probably that output is dued to the fact that the card is attached to anything, am I wrong?

hello:
have you add the laymask to ensure the 8 ports are there?
or you can add 8 ports in misdn-init.conf and start it with debug mode.
I hope can see more useful information there. by way, do you have any new hardware in your machine?
regards!
