If the problem only happens when accessing the disk, then you may have to tune your IDE settings using haparm (see google). Another solution is to replace the motherboard with one from a different company.
Would a motherboard of the same brand but with a different chipset solve the problem?
or else...what should i look for in the new motherboard to make sure the problem does not happen again?
I tried three different mother boards and now also installed the system an an IDE drive instead of sata. But had no success.
Can anyone help me out pls.
