Use of asterisk variables in CID in routing rules

9 years 6 months ago #9972 by glaz123
Hi,

I'd like to use an asterisk variables (${SOME} which I set in extentions_custom.conf) for field CID in routing rules, does anyone know is it possible?
I can set CID in interface to be any directly written number, but when I use a variable it is not saved in config. If I directly edit extentions_routing.conf
to be something like "exten=>s/${number],n,Dial(something)", it works correctly until I save config in GUI (for very obvious reason).

Hi.
You can not edit "extentions_routing.conf" file, if you want add your own dialplan, please edit extensions_custom.conf file.
If you wanna your master board use your own dialplan, please copy "extra-channels.conf" file as a new channels configuration file, and then, modify ”chan_extra.conf“ file to include your new channels configuration file, and then modify the context to your own dial context in extensions_custom.conf file, but first, do not add any routing rules for same port in GUI.
If you wanna your slave board use your own dialplan, please edit "extensions_custom.conf" file, use the same context name in extentions_routing.conf, like "gsm-1", but first, do not add any routing rules for same port in GUI.

Regards!
Michael
