there are many Distro asterisk ISO, they have installed with ouropvxa1200.ko, you can take a loot at elastix. trixobx, PBXF, easyasterisk. yes, elastix has supported opvxa1200.ko, please check with elastix for more info.

you can do as this:
modprobe opvxa1200 fxotxgain=XX fxorxgain=XX fxstxgain=XX fxsrxgain=XX
the "XX" stands for the value that you want to set.
