A400P does not respond to rxgain

All;
I am running Asterisk 1.4.35 with Dahdi 2.4.0 configured with one analog card and one SIP trunk. I am dialing out on the analog card to the SIP trunk which starts the milliwatt() test. I am looking at the power levels using dahdi_monitor and then set the rxgain in chan_dahdi.conf and retest again. (I make sure that I restart dahdi after changing the rxgain). However, changing the rxgain has no effect on the output of dahdi_monitor. . Am I doing something wrong or is something broken?

you can add the rx or tx parameter when load the wctdm, it's like this:

modprobe wctdm fxotxgain=2

parm: fxotxgain:int
parm: fxorxgain:int
parm: fxstxgain:int
parm: fxsrxgain:int

If I want to set both the rxgain and txgain this way, can I add the following to /etc/modprobe.d/dahdi:
options wctdm fxorxgain=5 fxotxgain=2
