No FXS dial out tone

12 years 5 months ago #7587 by bjornmed
Hi,

Moved my A800P/Dahdi/Asterisk system to a new server using Asterisk 1.8 and Dahdi 2.5.

When I call out over the A800P FXS I can not hear anything in any of my phones.
The call out works and one the other side picks up the call everything sounds normal.

When I call through SIP channels it works as usual with the slowly beeping tone while waiting for the answer.

The config files did work before on my old 2.? Dahdi / 1.4 asterisk system (now dead).

dahdi-channels.conf:

signalling=fxs_ks
callerid=asreceived
group=0
context=from-pstn
channel => 1

signalling=fxo_ks
callerid="Channel 2" <0202>
mailbox=0202
group=5
context=from-internal
channel => 2

chan_dahdi.conf:

Hmmm,

Sometimes the answer pops up just after writing to the forum.
I added a "r" to my dialplan and that fixed the problem.

exten => _XXXX.,1,Dial(${OUTBOUNDTRUNK}/${EXTEN},,r)

Despite the asterisk documentation stating:

r - Default: Indicate ringing to the calling party, even if the called party isn't actually ringing. Pass no audio to the calling party until the called channel has answered.

The "default" behavior might have been removed in 1.8.7.1!!?!
