A800P installation under kubuntu 8.04

I have a question regarding the installation of an A800P board on a Dell Dimension 5000 running KUbuntu 8.04.

When I run the installation script install_openvox_a.sh, I get the following error during zaptel installation.

scripts/Makefile.build:46: *** CFLAGS was changed in "/usr/src/zaptel-1.4.7.1/Makefile". Fix it to use EXTRA_CFLAGS. Stop.
make[2]: *** [_module_/usr/src/zaptel-1.4.7.1] Error 2
make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2make: *** [all] Error 2

I have tried simply replacing CFLAGS by EXTRA_CFLAGS in the Makefile, and then repeating the make command, but this generates further errors...

Any ideas?
