It is ok without parameter.
# modprobe opvxa1200

I get an error when parameter added.
# modprobe opvxa1200 opermode=uk
FATAL: Error inserting opvxa1200 (/lib/modules/2.6.25.4-10.fc8/misc/opvxa1200.ko): No such device
But /lib/modules/2.6.25.4-10.fc8/misc/opvxa1200.ko is existed.

it means that the opvxa1200 is here already, you can not add it again. unless you remove it by modprobe -r opvxa1200 and and remodprobe it with the parameter.

I am sure it is removed as I can issue modprobe opvxa1200 without parameter. I already use lsmod | grep opvxa to make sure it is gone. After that, I issue modprobe opvxa1200 opermode=uk and the mentioned error displayed.

check it, if it is there, you run modinfo opvxa1200.ko. it will the parameter.
