large background noise

Hi all,
I have a A800P with all FXO on it. It works without problem in the phone operation. However, I always hear very large background noise when I talking to the called party. I donno whether it is setting problem. Anyone can tell me how to eliminate the background noise?

please check your loadzone for your country and adjust rxgain and txgain.

I am using it in HK. I donno whether the following setting is correct. Please advise.
Below is my configuration.
/etc/zaptel.conf
loadzone = us
defaultzone = us
The value below that I have tuned several time. But the background noise still exists.
zapata.conf
rxgain=10.0
txgain=6.0

Actually, following is the problem we got.
A (IP phone) --> PC (2 A800P) --> PSTN --> B
-A can hear her own background noise in the earphone.
-Volume of A is very low when B hear A.
-A hears B is ok.

Do you mean set the setting in the following files can solve the problems?
/etc/zaptel.conf
loadzone=uk
defaultzone=uk

indications.conf
country=uk

zapata.conf
echocancel=yes

Where to set the opermode?
