Root Access on WGW-1002

I admit I am a new comer to to the embedded Linux BusyBox and this device. I have been able to access the unit using SSH. Once into the device I try to I get the @Openvox-Wireless-Gateway: prompt. I then telnet into the device using port 5038. When accessed I get the
Asterisk Call Manager/1.1 prompt. I enter action: login but nothing happens. I see in the documentation that the root symbol # is on the command line. So how do I become root.

my username is superadmin for logging in. I tried to make this root with no luck.

Also do you have to use the GUI to set Deny and Permit ports? For permit I use 192.168.0.0/24. Is this the correct value.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the trouble. Please change the username of ssh as "super" in page "SYSTEM ---> Login Settings".

Super user is the same as root user. You can follow below screenshot to change it:
