Annoying clicks on the audio, sync messages in dmesg

16 years 5 months ago #511 by ramoncio
I have noticed some annoying clicks on the audio, every 5-6 seconds. This is Elastix 0.9 in a Athlon 3800 dual core 1gb.

I still get this messages in dmesg constantly:

I think this is related with the clicks in the sound
I have tried the same card in a pentium3 1000 and I didn't get the messages nor the sound clicks.

Maybe this is a bug??

Hi ramoncio, we are now contacting Elastix about this probloem and we hope we can solve it for you soon! Thank you for using OpenVox cards.

hello, ramoncio:
there are two things you can check. first, make sure you insert the card properly. it is connected very well. second, you have to check the hardware compatibility with A1200P. If it can not support A1200P well, the system will cause problems.
Rg!

The card is firmly plugged, and the modules too.
I have installed Elastix 0.9 final release.
I have tried with another a1200 card (I bought 2) and I get the same results. But this same card in a pentium 3 1000MHz seems to work fine, no sync dmesg messages.
The server is an AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+, 1Gb ram , 160Gb SATA hard drive.
Where can I check the hardware compatibility??
I'm going to disable at the bios all not needed ports and devices and see what happens.
Have you ever been reported with this same issue?

I have just reinstalled Elastix 0.9 and I get the same dmesg problem again.
The message dissappears after rmmoding oxpva1200, so this must be a bug.
I will see if the clicks are still there (I hope not, but I think so).

I have seen that this message comes from your code in www.openvox.com.cn/downloadsFile/opvxa1200.c

What is happening?
What can I do?
