A800P Clicking Noise

14 years 7 months ago #3882 by redproactiva
Hi, I have just installed 2 A800P Cards, 1 with 8 FXS and the other 8 FXO.

After configuring it, I detected that some of the FXS ports are generating clicking noise.

Lines connected to ports 1-4 of FXS Sounds good, Lines connected to ports 5-8 are generating clicking noise, sometimes sounds like interference..

I have echotraining turned off.. could this be realted to my machine? or is it a configuration issue?

I have turned off all USB ports and sound devices, which where sharing interrupts..

The clicking noise is still there..

hello:
please:
1) enable echo cancel in zapata.conf
2) check the connection or line of FXO, make sure it is well connected.
3) check the setting for your country, defulatzone=your country, country in indications.conf, load opermode=your country. please refer this: http://wiki.openvox.cn/index.php/Troubleshooting_of_Analog_cards#Q8.2C_How_can_you_set_the_analog_card_for_your_country.3F

I hace changed to different PCI slot, but same stuff, I thought it was related to my box so I decided to change the motherboard to a new box a better power source. But same stuff..

I tested the cards in a different machine and no clicking noise problems at all.. Also I tested in an older box and no problems.

Could be driver / motherboard related?

I have defined country zone to mx, but, notice I'm only having problems with FXS so far.
