hello:
asterisk chan_daidi adds support for bri_cpe. in the digium releases news, it shows that dahdi new version supports BRI cards. you have to test that first with your requirements.
Hi,
didn't had time to get back to this earlier...
Joe I tried your suggestion but changing the values no dtmf is detected by asterisk. I make the channel debbug and nothing is detected.
Giving you ssh access is a problem, the server is locked from the internet.
But I'm starting to think that the problem can be in the pstn side. I discovered that the pstn provider is not giving a direct bri access but by a ViNE gateway of dataflex.
The reference
http://www.dataflex.com/prodrange.php?prod=ViNE1102b
and the datasheet
http://www.dataflex.com/downloads/ViNE1102b.pdf
It says that as dtmf detection in voip codecs, but nothing in the bri side. Do you had some experience with this kind of gateways?
For debugging I'm trying to get a pbx that works for sure with dtmf.
Still any idea/help will be very appreciated.
Regards,
Luis Silva
Hello Silva,
I am sorry, but I did not experience this sorts of gateway with VOIP, so I am not sure whether it works well and we don't have a complete solution for it currently. I suggest you ask for this Gateway manufacturer for more supports. Perhaps they would give you more details.
hello:
i think you have to check few things:
1) check the terminal dtmf mode ad try to change to other values: dtmfmode=inband , rfc2833,info, auto.
2) open the wcb4xxp debug mode to check the debug information.
3) check the gateway side, reset the dtmf mode
4) plug in the ISDN into out card, try it again.
If I make the correct dahdi debug , this is what the full log catches. [Mar 16 13:45:57] DEBUG[759] chan_dahdi.c: DTMF digit: 2 on DAHDI/4-1

if this debug is showing what really is passed in the isdn level this is a problem in the gateway sending this dtmf's right?
I trying also to get some support for the gateway.
